For the third year Sunset Imports hosted a Stars and Cars client appreciation event, that gets more popular each year. 1,400 people attended on July 19th 2006 to meet the drivers that pilot the winning Audi R10 TDI Diesel race cars of the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the American Le Mans Series races. Allen McNish, Dindo Capello, Emanuele Pirro and Frank Biela spent the evening visiting and signing autographs. The new Audi R10 and a Porsche GT3 were displayed with all the new Audi and Porsche models. A special treat this year was seeing the new Porsche RS Spyder. Everyone enjoyed the delicious menu and beverages while the Audi drivers spoke about racing technologies and gave away prizes, including a $1,500 Bang & Olufsen stereo.

What is Porscheplatz? A Porsche "place" at the races for Porsche owners presented by Porsche Cars North America with Porsche Motorsport and sponsored by Sunset Imports. Porsche owners were welcomed with a Porsche only parking corral, presentations from Porsche Motorsport, meet and greets with race teams, a catered lunch and drawings for exclusive activities at the races.
